Our Story
Set up in June 2024, our vision is to offer a range of affordable services for individuals and families who are seeking a more empowered approach to their health and wellbeing journeys. In light of a struggling NHS with increasingly limited services and a dominant culture which serves to disconnect us from ourselves, our bodies, each other and the environment, the RHC aims to support anyone seeking to redress the balance in their and their family’s lives.
Our services, which are both in-person and online, come in the form of education (courses, workshops, podcasts, digital resources), a directory of specialist health and well-being practitioners (offering free or subsidised services where possible) and support groups.
We offer support through the full spectrum of life’s rites of passage, from pre-conception, puberty, parenthood, right through to to palliative care.
We want to empower all those who access our services to move beyond survival, into thriving, by being a portal for easy access to information, skills, healing modalities, resources and community, around many aspects of your health and well-being.
As a start-up, much of what we offer is currently delivered on a voluntary basis or at a low cost to our community in west Wales, where nearly one third of households locally are living in poverty, or through private practice (which is often unaffordable to those on a low income in our locality). This is why, as a CIC, we strive to access grant funding, so our offerings to support your health and well-being can remain affordable and accessible to all, regardless of income.
We also strive for our health and well-being professionals to be paid a decent living wage for any of the RHC offerings that they facilitate as part of our CIC.
